On the WeatherRadar
Midwest braces for storms

Severe storms hit Indiana and Illinois on Sunday, and the start of the workweek brings more severe weather to the Midwest.

Did you know that the WeatherRadar allows you to look back 24 hours? Go to the bottom of the WeatherRadar and click the button that says -24 to see the powerful storms that moved through Chicago late Sunday night. The Midwest had dozens of high wind reports yesterday, and tornado sirens sounded over the downtown area.

If you live in eastern Iowa, northern Illinois, or northwest Indiana, you should keep a close eye on the WeatherRadar this afternoon and evening. Powerful storms are expected to erupt in this region and may bring damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes.

You can also use the WeatherRadar to get an idea of who will see strong storms later today. Our accurate forecast data will help you plan your day in cities like Chicago and Peoria, Ill., which are once again at risk of severe storms. Severe weather is also possible in Omaha, Neb., Milwaukee, and Indianapolis.
